Iulia Crișan is a clinical psychologist with 13 years of experience in the field of psychopathology and a supervised psychotherapist in Transactional Analysis.
At the Head Medicine Centre, she conducts clinical and neuropsychological assessments, counselling and therapy sessions with patients with various neurological and psychiatric pathologies, and members of the community. In the academic sphere, she is a research assistant in the Department of Psychology at the West University of Timisoara, Romania.
She teaches seminars in psychopathology and clinical psychology and coordinates the practical training of psychology graduates in the clinical field. Her research interests involve the assessment of cognitive and psychopathological symptoms, eating disorders, and associations between personality traits and mental disorders.
Her collaboration with psychiatrists to investigate the relationship between personality traits and body dysmorphic disorder in a mixed clinical and non-clinical Romanian sample led to two co-authored articles published in academic medical journals.
