Dr. Cristina Georgiana Cotică is a physician specializing in psychiatry, with a practice dedicated to adults, and co-founder of Clinica Dr. Cotică in Valea Adâncă, Iași County, the first clinic in Romania dedicated exclusively to the medical care of patients diagnosed with neurodevelopmental conditions. She works alongside Dr. George Bogdan Cotică, who covers pediatric psychiatry, so that evaluation and treatment can continue seamlessly from childhood into adulthood.
She is one of the few psychiatrists in north-eastern Romania who offers a dedicated screening package for ADHD and autism spectrum conditions in adults, a combination of medical evaluation and two psychological evaluations, designed to allow differential identification of ADHD, autism spectrum conditions and the AuDHD profile (co-occurring ADHD and autism). The package addresses a real need in a region where diagnostic services for adults are still very limited.
She works within an integrative and personalized model that takes into account not only the psychiatric picture but also the medical comorbidities frequently seen in neurodivergent people (gastrointestinal, nutritional, immune and metabolic), in order to build individualized treatment plans that are sustainable over time. A consultation is not a simple walkthrough of diagnostic criteria, but a careful evaluation attentive to the complexity of each person, with empathy and genuine support for the patient and their family.
Dr. Cotică also offers online consultations, designed for follow-up re-evaluations, case management, counseling, and interpretation of test results. The initial diagnostic evaluation, as well as medication initiation, are always conducted exclusively in person, reflecting her clinical rigor and commitment to the accuracy of every medical decision.
Adult psychiatry services can be covered through the national health insurance fund (CAS), based on a referral slip. The clinic is also included in the national sub-program for connected services for persons diagnosed with autism spectrum conditions (both children and adults).
