Dr. Cristian Horatiu

Dr. Cristian Horatiu is a physician specializing in child and adolescent psychiatry at Clinica Hope Cluj-Napoca, with a practice centered on the deep understanding of children's and adolescents' emotional and behavioral difficulties in their family context. He graduated from the Faculty of General Medicine at the "Iuliu Hațieganu" University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Cluj-Napoca in 2019, and completed his residency at the Clinic of Child Psychiatry and Addiction in Cluj, between 2020 and 2025.

In addition to his medical training, he specialized in systemic and family therapy at the Agape Foundation for Life Protection in Cluj-Napoca, and has been a psychotherapist with the right to free practice, under supervision, since 2025. He also has basic training in addictions, obtained at the Preventis Association. He sees each case as a relational dynamic in which environment, family and the child's history play a concrete role, and he integrates this perspective into his assessments and interventions.

He was the initiator of a burnout screening project among medical residents, within the Multidisciplinary Society of Medical Residents in Romania (2023-2024), evidence of his interest in mental health within the medical system and in team work.

At Clinica Hope he offers consultations for children and adolescents, both in the office and in online format, via the Hope Online platform. The clinic has a contract with the National Health Insurance Fund (CNAS) for the reimbursement of certain services, within the slots available. His approach combines medical expertise with a human sensitivity that proposes a safe, respectful and collaborative space for young people and their families.
